Job Title: Industrial Regulatory Professional

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled professional to provide legal advice to our Divisional Branches, handling inquiries and advising on developments in industrial law and modern award interpretation. You will also be responsible for case preparation, management and appearances in the Fair Work Commission and Federal Courts, as well as researching and writing submissions on legal matters.
* Providing expert legal advice and guidance to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations;
* Managing and coordinating litigation matters, including briefing external lawyers and counsel where necessary;
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with Divisional Branches and other stakeholders;
* Staying up-to-date with changes in legislation and case law, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing solutions;
* Collaborating with colleagues to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A Bachelor of Laws or Juris Doctor degree with current practising certificate;
* Proven experience in a union office or labour law firm, with a strong understanding of industrial relations and employment law;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders;
* A high level of autonomy and self-motivation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a small team;
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
