 
        
        Regional Director - Safety and Security 
The Department of Health is seeking a Regional Director - Safety and Security to join the Office of the Chief Risk Officer. This is a newly created leadership role in a newly established regional team, offering the chance to make a real impact from day one. 
The Team: 
You’ll be joining the Office of the Chief Risk Officer at a time of transformation, with a major security project underway that will reshape how safety and security services are delivered across Tasmania. As Regional Director, you will be at the forefront of building a recent service and leading a major statewide security project. 
Responsibilities: 
- Lead the regional Safety and Support team, overseeing recruitment, deployment, training, and performance management to ensure a capable and responsive workforce. 
- Provide strategic leadership and authoritative specialist advice to senior executives on safety, security, risk, and incident response policy. 
- Lead and manage regional teams, establishing clear reporting lines and accountability mechanisms. 
Requirements: 
- Ability to lead and manage high-performing teams. 
- Experience in safety, security, and incident management. 
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills. 
What we offer: 
- Salary: $139,470 to $148,863 per annum.
