Your Opportunity

As the Key Accounts Lead you will be responsible for coordinating the execution of partnership contracts across the North Region in an accurate and timely manner, ensuring compliance with the established contract management process. You will also undertake key account management responsibilities and acting as the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders with a view to building, and nurturing, mutually beneficial connections and enduring working relationships. Additionally, you will provide leaderships and advice to internal stakeholders, capitalising upon opportunities to build workforce capability and ensuring that operational objectives are achieved.

This position reports to the Senior Business Development Officer.

This is a Permanent, Full-Time opportunity.

The position will be based primarily at Townsville however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.

Key Responsibilities

* Contribute to the success of cultural change within the organisation through promoting and modelling TAFE Queensland North’s core values and Agreed Behaviours and the established TAFE Queensland values of Working Together, focussing on our customer, Taking Responsibility, Showing Initiative, and Safety First.
* Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the systems and processes associated with the end-to-end execution of commercial contracts across multiple platforms, including but not limited to the Student Management System (SMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
* Undertake effective key account management processes, including but not limited to:
o cultivating and maintaining key client relationships through effective liaison;
o displaying professionalism when communicating with clients and internal stakeholders;
o performing research to ensure thorough knowledge of key client business operations, enabling the needs of the client to be met; and
o identifying and proactively developing strategies to drive revenue growth for TAFE Queensland.
* Utilise high-level project management skills to implement project tracking and reporting across an array of partnership contracts, ensuring that delivery is consistent with contractual requirements and escalating any issues to appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
* Coordinate, and ensure the accurate and timely completion of, a range of activities associated with contract management.
* Work collaboratively with the Region Marketing and Communications team to ensure marketing activities are aligned to support sales plans.
* Coordinate with the Contracts and Tenders Lead to actively contribute to the development and implementation of best practice contract management processes within the Region in order to improve business efficiencies.
* Actively promote TAFE Queensland products and training programs to maximise participants and encourage repeat business to increase revenue opportunity.
* Undertake research and development on matters relating to business functions, including providing environmental snapshots and market reports to key internal stakeholders.
* Maintain an understanding of the commercial specs of TAFE financial and business performance and any impacting influences.
* Proactively participate in local Performance Planning and Development (PPD) processes, seeking opportunities for self-development and contributing to the development of the Commercial Services business unit.

How You Will Be Assessed

The ideal applicant will be someone who has the following key capabilities:

* Thorough understanding of contract management principles and the proven ability to apply these successfully within a large, complex commercial organisation.
* Demonstrated skill in achieving organisational objectives through the application of project management techniques, establishing clear plans and measurable outcomes for project management and implementation.
* Proven ability to develop and nurture productive internal and external stakeholder relationships (including the management of key accounts), build rapport and work collaboratively to achieve mutually beneficial, and commercially focussed, outcomes.
* Highly developed analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills, including the ability to contribute to the development of innovative and flexible strategies which lead to an improved client focused service and increased market share.
* Proven ability to work effectively with, and contribute to a high performing team, identifying opportunities for business improvement and proactively seeking and facilitating opportunities for self-development and the development of others.
* Thorough understanding of commercial and funding aspects within the VET sector.

Highly Desirable Requirements

* A qualification in project management, marketing, customer experience or equivalent experience.
* Experience working in the VET sector.
