Specialising in a diverse range of services including Piling, Grouting, and Earth Retention, we excel in delivering innovative solutions tailored to projects of varying scales and complexities.
As our new Engineering Geologist, you'll be a vital part of the Engineering team who are changing the way we design and deliver major work.
Your role will include:
* Geological desk studies for small to large projects
* Scoping, managing and supervising geotechnical investigations including logging to AS1726, sampling, in situ testing, preparation and review of laboratory test schedules, control of samples, preparation (where required) and checking of contract technical output (borehole logs & test results)
* Soil and Rock Slope Stability assessments
* Rock Mapping and Kinematic analyses
* Quality checking logs and factual reports generated by others
* Production of geotechnical factual and interpretive reports, and technical memorandums

As well as experience in a similar Engineering Geologist role, you will have:
* A good understanding of the ANZ industry and technical standards
* Min 2-3 years relevant experience
* Broad engineering geology and geohazards competency as well as a working knowledge of geotechnical engineering
* A good understanding of ground conditions, drilling and site investigation works.
* Working knowledge of geotechnical processes
* Solid IT skills including 2-D/3-D geological modelling, Microsoft office, and database maintenance
* A good communicator and strong reporting skills. Can convey findings and recommendations to various audiences
* Good working experience with the Geostudio software suite namely Slope/W and Seep/W
* Good working experience with the Rocscience software suite namely Dips, SWedge and RocFall
* TfNSW or TMR Slope Risk Assessor accreditation would be highly desirable
