Job Description
The Planning Officer role is a key position within our organization, responsible for supporting the council's direction by assessing development applications and delivering strategic planning outcomes.
As a Planning Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that development applications align with statutory requirements and reflect the interests of the community.
You will be working closely with various stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, and other external parties to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
The successful candidate will possess a degree in Urban and/or Regional Planning or a related discipline, along with high-level knowledge and skills in planning experience, including development assessment.
In addition, they will have demonstrated problem-solving and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
