About the Team
Reporting to the Quality Control Manager, this role will work alongside a team of 8 Quality Assurance Officers. The greater Quality team is continuing to expand and also includes Planning, Audit, IMS and Supplier Quality teams. This role will be based full-time in Redbank at our Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence (MILVEHCOE).
About The Role
The Production Quality Control Engineer oversees the issues identified during the inspection of vehicles, modules and assemblies across the MILVEHCOE operations during assembly to the point of acceptance by customer.
The Production QC Engineer is a point of elevation for production related non-conformances and takes a leading role in investigation, analysis and countermeasure of significant quality issues, while fostering the implementation of problem-solving concepts and continuous improvement.
In doing so, they act in the integrated Plan-Do-Check-Act approach, with which they ensure that any non-conformities that are noticed are rectified and a recurrence is prevented. Providing expert level, professional capability and support in quality management to the business on complex and critical quality issues to meet operational requirements and ensure compliance with applicable standards, regulations and other requirements.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
* Mechanical or Quality Engineering qualification;
* Experience in a Quality Control/Quality Assurance role delivering complex platforms/systems in a highly regulated industry such as defence, automotive and/or aviation;
* Internal or external audit or inspection experience;
* Exposure to SAP working environment;
* Demonstrated experience in Quality Management principles;
* Ability to read and interpret standards, engineering drawings and customer specifications;
* Lean Manufacturing experience including proven ability with Root Cause Analysis Techniques;
* Demonstrated experience with 8D and A3 tools; and
* Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
