Role: Assistant Facilities Manager (Operations)
Package: up to $110,000 including super
Redpath are working in partnership with a privately owned diversified investment group with extensive in‑house management capability in commercial property, hotels, hospitality and investment management.
A new opening has become available for an Assistant Facilities Manager to support the retail and commercial assets located in NSW. You will be based in the office in Neutral Bay with travel to sites as and when required.
Our client provides property management, leasing, marketing and operations/facilities management for a shopping centre portfolio; therefore we are seeking candidates with shopping centre experience.
You will report into the Group Operations Manager and be responsible for assisting with day‑to‑day facilities and operational management, risk, security and compliance and sustainability of assets.
Your duties and responsibilities as Assistant Facilities Manager will be:
* Assist in the day‑to‑day facilities, operations and building management functions across the Group's NSW assets, whilst being based in NSW Head office.
* Manage subcontractor relationships and arrange PPMs, reactive repairs and capital works, aligning with asset priorities.
* Data analysis to improve asset operational and environmental performance.
* Support and assist in the management of service contracts across the portfolio ensuring delivery of contract administration, contractor compliance and performance management of contract KPIs.
* Provide support in the sustainability strategy including waste management and solar initiatives.
* Assist in delivery of tenancy coordination activities, including coordination of category 1 and essential services works and assist in overseeing lessee fit‑out requirements.
* Assist in the collation of data and management of property asset registers and contractor registers.
* Provide general support and assistance to the Group Operations Manager, Head of Asset Management, Portfolio Manager, property and leasing team, retail partners, external stakeholders and third‑party contractors.
To be considered for this Assistant Facilities and Operations role, we are looking for the following experience:
* Experience in operations, facilities management, engineering, trade, or building services.
* Proven ability to manage and influence diverse stakeholders and contract partners.
* Strong administrative skills and financial and commercial acumen; proven contract negotiation/management.
* Ability to embed and influence Work Health and Safety culture.
