Investment Analyst | Multi-Asset/Fixed Income
Foundry Talent Partners is partnering with a well-established, independently-owned Australian asset manager to appoint an Investment Analyst into their Sydney-based investment team. This is a broad, hands-on role with genuine exposure across asset classes and a clear runway into portfolio management over time.
The firm runs multiple strategies across fixed income, private credit, and venture capital. You'll work closely with the senior investment team, touching everything from fundamental research & analysis, through to trade execution, compliance and client reporting. For someone working in financial services looking to make the step into a buy-side seat, this is a rare opportunity to get meaningful breadth from day one.
What the role looks like day-to-day
* Fundamental and quantitative research across Australian and global fixed income, private credit, equities and managed funds
* Preparing Investment Committee data packs and contributing to the macro view that drives portfolio positioning
* Trade execution and reconciliation across markets and platforms, including FX trades via online portals
* Maintaining Morningstar databases, model portfolios and strategy performance data
* Updating performance data that flows into client presentations, sales material and external research databases
* Supporting compliance monitoring within the OMS
* Contributing to new product development and ongoing investment process improvement
What we're looking for
* 1–5+ years in investment research, investment analysis, wealth management, asset consulting, or a relevant adjacent seat in financial services
* Genuine interest in moving into a buy-side investment role
* Strong Excel skills and an analytical, data-driven mindset
* University qualified in finance or similar; progress toward CFA well regarded
* Morningstar or IRESS experience a plus
* Self-motivated, curious, and comfortable in a small, high-performing team
