We are seeking a Service Desk Officer to join our IT team and support the day‐to‐day technology needs of the organisation. This role is the first point of contact for IT support, providing timely, high‐quality assistance across desktops, laptops, printers, telephony, audio‐visual systems, and operational equipment. You will play a key role in maintaining business continuity by resolving first‐level issues, building and deploying IT equipment, and escalating more complex matters to second‐level support where required.
We are looking for a Service Desk Officer to join our team to:
* Provide first‐level IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, telephony, audio‐visual and operational equipment.
* Act as the first point of contact for all IT helpdesk enquiries. Build, deploy and set up desktops and laptops for staff. Resolve helpdesk tickets promptly in line with service standards.
* Allocate tickets appropriately and escalate unresolved issues to second‐level support.
* Deliver a responsive and customer‐focused service to ensure staff feel supported.
* Assist with operational and site activities to maintain a safe and positive work environment.
* Maintain and support audio‐visual facilities, including monitoring consumables and training staff.

What can you bring to this role?
* IT-based TAFE Certification at Certificate IV level desirable but not required.
* 3+ years in an IT Service/Support role.
* Strong technical knowledge with the ability to support a range of IT systems, devices and equipment.
* Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and solutions to non‐technical users.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and approachable manner.
* A proactive, self‐motivated "can‐do" attitude and strong sense of accountability.
* Proven experience engaging with staff at all levels, as well as internal and external stakeholders. Ability to coach and support individuals and teams in the effective use of IT systems.
