State Sales Manager – KENWORTH – Forrestfield, WA
The opportunity to represent and sell Australian made, world's best Kenworth trucks is a rare chance to lead with an experienced successful sales team supporting you.
Leading the sales efforts for Western Australia for Kenworth, this role offers a mix of sales, strategy, operational management, and hands-on challenges. Reporting to the General Manager of Trucks WA, you will be a key part of the Senior Management team for one of CJD's largest and busiest operations.
Based in Forrestfield WA (near Perth Airport), you will liaise with customers across WA, all sharing a passion for our quality trucks. You will maintain an in-depth understanding of competing products, markets, and brands, positioning yourself to sustain a strong market share. You will work closely with your team to develop successful sales strategies and deliver high standards of service and product quality.
* Provide strategic input and expertise to the General Manager – Trucks WA, collaborating with the senior management team.
* Participate in all truck sales activities within the state, with strong territory plans and achievement of market targets.
* Lead a customer-driven team focused on outstanding customer satisfaction.
* Develop plans, work programs, and initiatives to meet the company's profit targets.
* Build an exceptional team culture by sourcing top talent, coaching, and developing team members to achieve sales strategies.
* Maintain strong relationships with OEMs, working closely with their teams to understand products thoroughly, enabling your team to deliver effective solutions.
* Provide high-standard reporting on performance relative to forecasts, budgets, and sales plans.
You will have the following experience, skills & attributes:
* Experience in leadership sales roles, preferably in automotive and truck industries.
* Drive, energy, autonomy, and strategic thinking. Committed to delivering excellence.
* Professional, values-based, and inspirational leadership style. Resilient with excellent influencing skills. Trusted advisor to your team and stakeholders.
* Trade qualifications and/or tertiary qualifications in business are advantageous but not essential.
* Experience in related industries such as Agriculture, Mining & Construction Equipment, and Power Generation is highly regarded.
