Fire Capability Manager
The Fire Capability Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful deployment of personnel, equipment, and planning to meet Defence capability requirements. They oversee and manage NSW sites, including Kapooka and RAAF Wagga, with a focus on maintaining a high standard of operational preparedness.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintaining station teams' readiness for emergency scenarios, ensuring swift response and effective management.
* Accountable for resource allocation, including personnel, fleet, equipment, and training, to meet contract objectives.
* Building inclusive working environments through employee engagement and driving service excellence.
* Establishing relationships with key stakeholders, including Defence Service Personnel, SEG Leadership, and Base Community, to raise the profile of Ventia's Fire and Rescue services.
* Leading safety initiatives and health outcomes, driving compliance through role modeling our LEAD behaviours (Learning, Engaging, Accountability, Discipline).
Requirements
* Proven experience in emergency management in dynamic operating environments is highly desirable.
* Graduate or Post Graduate qualification in Business Management is preferred.
* Ability to work autonomously, prioritizing tasks based on risk and exercising strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
* Leadership experience in people programs, including recruitment, training, leadership development, workforce planning, mentoring, and change management, is advantageous.
