Join our collaborative Finance team at Queensland Treasury Lead a team of professionals and play a key role in budget preparation, performance monitoring, and financial management for the department. Responsibilities
* Lead financial reporting initiatives.
* Prepare, report, and drive improved budgetary decisions.
* Collaborate with stakeholders and deliver financial advice.
* Provide leadership to the team in providing professional financial advice to internal and external stakeholders on budgetary and financial management matters.
* Prepare funding submissions, department Budget Papers, and detailed budgetary briefs for estimate hearings.
* Oversee the preparation of management reports and other customised financial reports.
* Drive ongoing improvements in budgetary quality and strategic decision-making processes.
* Build and maintain strong and collaborative partnerships with key stakeholders.
* Work within a productive, motivated team that strives to deliver high-quality financial services.
Experience and Qualifications
* Outstanding analytical skills and sound judgment with demonstrated high-level integrity.
* Strong adaptability to changing environments and a results-driven mindset.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Extensive experience in management accounting.
* Comprehensive knowledge of accounting standards, legislation, and policies.
* Proven ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively and perform under pressure.
* Demonstrated expertise in leading and inspiring teams to achieve organisational success.
* Relevant qualifications are highly regarded, though not mandatory.
