Business Development Manager – Aviation & Defence
Leidos Australia delivers IT and airborne solutions that protect and advance the Australian way of life. Your role will steer a well‐established Defence account as part of the account leadership team, supporting the Account Executive and shaping the future of the account in line with the customer's strategy.
Your New Role And Responsibilities
This role will involve supporting the Account Executive by providing strategic management and maintaining a strong understanding of relevant capability areas where Leidos Australia might compete. It has a specific focus on Aviation within the Government sector, including Defence, and you will develop a sound appreciation of customer agency perspectives and goals in relation to the Aviation Domain.
Your Key Responsibilities
* Identify, qualify, and capture new business opportunities for Leidos
* Execute the Company's business capture management processes
* Coordinate customer relationships critical to new business development, including partnership development
* Establish and maintain enduring, inclusive relationships and communication with key Government stakeholders (e.g., Government Agency Capability Sponsors; Defence Service Headquarters, Capability Sponsors & Acquisition Agencies) at appropriate levels to qualify and grow the Leidos Australia Aviation business, as well as support other primarily Defence related opportunities
* Contribute to Request for Tender responses
* Provide input into current and long‐range business strategies to enhance the Company's position in Australia
What You'll Bring To Make An Impact
* Confident communicator, both orally and in written form, to individuals as well as large groups
* Proven ability to create and maintain both internal and external professional networks
* Skilled in managing and assimilating information for a varied audience in many different formats
* Ability to learn, collaborate, and network with senior stakeholders and enjoy engaging with people
* Understanding of the Government Aviation (ideally) / Civil Aviation Sector in Australia
* Understanding of Defence, including capability sponsors and acquisition agencies
* A strong network within the Government Aviation Sector, including Defence, is essential
* Australian Citizen who holds or is willing to obtain an NV‐1 security clearance
