About the Role They are seeking an Associate Director or Director (6–8+ years of professional experience) to join their financial crime practice in Sydney.
You will bring proven experience from consulting, industry, regulatory bodies or law enforcement, particularly in one or more of the following areas: Anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CTF)Fraud prevention, including scams They are especially interested in candidates with relevant consulting experience and a strong track record in one or more of the following areas: Financial crime data and technology solutions Designing, transforming, implementing, or managing transaction monitoring or customer screening/risk systems and programs Enhancing, optimising, or managing financial crime operations teams Business development and sales of financial crime-related projects or solutions Key Responsibilities As a senior team member, your responsibilities will include: Delivering financial crime prevention and detection services across advisory, implementation, and managed service engagements Managing complex advisory projects with strong stakeholder engagement, quality control, and team leadership Leading project scoping, team management, budgeting, timeline management, stakeholder reporting, data analysis, and deliverable preparation Coordinating and leading multi-disciplinary teams Supporting the development of proposals and pitches for new client opportunities Building and maintaining strong client relationships Contributing to the ongoing growth of the business through mentoring and developing team members, and managing key client and service offerings About You You will bring a blend of technical and leadership strengths, along with the following qualifications and experience: Australian work rights (Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen)At least 6 years of experience in financial crime—either in industry (e.g., financial services, gaming) or a forensic/financial crime advisory role Strong conceptual, analytical, and critical thinking skills High attention to detail and excellent verbal and written communication Ability to convey complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences A commercial mindset with an interest in business development and client relationship management About the Firm: This team is passionate about making an impact that matters – for clients, the community, and each other.
