About The Team
Our Operations team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains. With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets. The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.
About The Opportunity
Reporting to Manager Network Performance, the role is responsible for providing analytical oversight, technical support and advice on trend information and process improvements to stakeholders to improve operational performance and support achieving asset management plans and track recording information that complies with all relevant engineering standards, specifications and work practices.
Key Responsibilities
Provision of effective analysis, advice and support on performance trends, including developing and maintaining appropriate KPI’s to monitor performance.
Provide support and contribute to business plans and strategic reviews incorporating current condition and performance information.
Identify opportunities for improving quality assurance of business data and business processes from analysis of overall network performance, incorporating various performance and business information.
Ensure effective monitoring of unit health for systems where relevant including supporting management and interaction with system vendor and others.
Enable and support development of internal and external stakeholder specific performance reports and dashboards through the identified/preferred platforms.
What do we want from you?
To ensure success in this position, applicants will be able to demonstrate:
Demonstrated experience in data analysis and report writing with a technical foundation.
Highly developed problem resolution and interpersonal skills.
High proficiency with Excel, SQL and Power BI with proven experience interpreting and visualising data into dashboard using analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau.
Demonstrable experience and evidence of the ability to interact and build strong working relationships at all levels.
Highly developed communications and interpersonal skills.
