Ready for a 2IC role? Working alongside the owner, you’ll step into a diverse role covering seeding, spraying, harvest and general farm maintenance. You’ll operate broadacre machinery including CLAAS harvester, Bourgault bar, and CASE sprayer. This is a great opportunity for someone reliable, hands-on and keen to take on more responsibility in a genuine 2IC position. About the Farm: This is a well-established broadacre cropping operation based near the stunning Cape Riche with productive cropping land. The community at Wellstead is active and welcoming, with nearby sporting clubs. About You: You’re someone who doesn’t stress the small stuff, gets on well with people, and can take initiative. Mechanical skills and fabrication knowledge would be a big plus. GPS experience, ChemCert, and a HR licence are desirable but not essential. This employer is seeking a right-hand person - someone to share the workload and enjoy the job together. Machinery experience can be taught, but attitude is everything. Duties Include: Operation of modern machinery; Assist with all seeding, spraying and harvest operations; Maintenance of sheds, yard, and general property upkeep; Servicing and minor repairs on equipment; Supporting casual staff during peak periods. Skills & Experience: Experience operating seeding/harvest equipment preferred; Mechanically minded with problem-solving ability; Physically fit and comfortable working independently; HR licence and ChemCert ideal but not essential.
