Key Responsibilities
* Develop weekly monitoring schedules and ensure all growers are properly serviced.
* Monitor pests/ beneficials and disease levels in relevant horticultural crops.
* Develop reports for growers detailing recommendations.
* Where needed deliver beneficials to growers and demonstrate release methods.
* Take samples from crops for laboratory analysis and prepare for dispatch.
* Comply with WH&S; employee roles and responsibilities as detailed in the WH&S Manual.
* Be autonomous, and able to supervise and instruct support staff as required.
* Flexibility to adapt to any changes in responsibilities requested by directors.
Personal Specification
* Understand the breeding cycles of the company's biological control agents and their prey.
* Understand chemical registrations for key crops, effectiveness against pests, disease, and toxicities to beneficials.
* Develop the ability to communicate reports/recommendations to growers.
* Organise release contracts and programs with clients, liaise orders with insectaries weekly.
* Constant liaison with Directors reporting progress on all crops monitored.
* Able to travel for training or consultations as required.
* Ability to diagnose current issues, research, experiment and develop solutions and protocols.
* Liaise with key researchers in relevant areas.
* Positive verbal, written and computer skills.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
