We are looking for a Forklift Operator/Storeperson who wants to earn above award rates and spend nights and weekends at home.

What you'll be doing
- Safely loading/ unloading and accurate placarding of vehicles in consultation with drivers
- Picking orders and receiving products in line with our quality mangement system and customer requirements
- Ensuring products are stored in appropriate locations and in line with requirements
- Stocktaking
- Ensuring all damages are correctly reported and addressed
- Accurately completing all documentation
- Safely operating a forklift and other equipment
- Ensuring Chep pallets are exchanged or transferred
- Conducting site/ store inspections
- Working within our Occupational Health & Safety Policy, including using PPE
- Directly supervising drivers on site
- Adhering to container unpack requirements
- Reporting any accidents, injuries and incidents, no matter how minor, to Supervisor/Manager immediately
- Reporting hazards and participating in risk assessments .
About you
Here are some of the skills and experience you'll need for the role.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- A conscientious attitude towards safety in the workplace
- Strong numerical, written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail
- Be punctual, reliable, with a can-do attitude
- Ability to work unsupervised autonomously and within a team environment
- Valid Forklift Licence with Counterbalance & Hi-Reach experience
- Own vehicle with the flexibility to work overtime when required
- Team leading experience will be very highly regarded
- Proven experience and knowledge of Stock Control procedures
- Experience handling Hire Pallets
- Ability to utilise smart devices, RF systems in place
- Ability to comply with Company policies, procedures, and applicable legislative requirements
Knowledge of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code (ADG) and/or Dangerous Goods Storage & Handling Regulations would be highly regarded as would experience in working with inventory/warehouse management systems.
