GROUNDUP is a stylish and inclusive studio located in the heart of Alexandria, offering an uplifting sanctuary for members to strengthen their bodies and calm their minds through Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates, Yoga, Barre, and more. Designed as a vibrant community hub, the studio blends expert-led classes with a welcoming atmosphere that supports all fitness levels — from first-time movers to seasoned practitioners.

STUDIO MANAGER(permanent full-time)
As Studio Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the studio, drive membership growth, and maintain operational excellence while building a positive, high-performing team culture. You will lead by example, setting clear expectations around service, professionalism, and studio presentation, and ensuring programs consistently meet or exceed member expectations.
People leadership is central to the role. You will coach, mentor, and develop your team, fostering an environment where staff feel supported, engaged, and empowered to deliver their best. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, as you will manage studio administration, scheduling, reporting, and competing priorities to keep the studio performing at its peak.
You will be supported by Viva Leisure's management team and dedicated brand and operations leaders, providing the tools, guidance, and strategic backing needed to succeed in the role.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for wellness with strong leadership capability—playing a key role in the ongoing success of GROUNDUP.
This is a permanent full-time role, although part-time options will be considered (min 30 hours p/week).
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with:
* Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong knowledge of and a passion for the Fitness Industry
* Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within the fitness or retail sectors
* Demonstrated people management and team leadership experience
* Previous experience in a similar role (desirable)
* Proven sales aptitude with a results-driven mindset and ability to meet targets
* Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with a passion for engaging both team members and clients to strengthen the brand. Skilled in supporting diverse tasks and mentoring future leaders to help them achieve peak performance
* Proven ability to drive operational excellence through strong organisational and formal operational skills. Capable of managing multiple priorities effectively, with a proactive mindset, eagerness to learn, and agility in adapting to evolving business needs
* Ability to be a role model and live our Viva values, and behaviours while being passionate about our brands. You will demonstrate professionalism, respect, courtesy and support
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Drive new member sign-ups, manage renewals, and implement strategies to enhance member satisfaction and retention
* Ensure all members and guests receive high-quality service; handle complaints and feedback promptly and professionally
* Maintain high standard of operational procedures. Manage administration, auditing and organisation of the club, ensuring all areas are clean, safe, and fully operational
* Ensure all activities, equipment, and facilities comply with health and safety regulations and industry standards
* Recruit, train, schedule and manage in club staff; ensure high team performance and morale
* Plan and execute local marketing campaigns, community engagement events, and promotions to increase visibility and attract new members
* Oversee the development and scheduling of fitness programs and classes, ensuring they meet member needs and industry trends
GROUP FITNESS INSTRUCTOR/TEACHER(casual)
This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality group fitness classes that inspire and engage our members. At Viva Leisure, we pride ourselves on creating positive member experiences driven by passion, growth, and exceptional service. In addition to delivering dynamic and safe classes, instructors are expected to actively contribute to increasing class participation.
We are on a look out for teachers in Reformer Pilates, Yoga nd Barre. As a Teacher, you will be responsible for leading scheduled classes at designated facilities. Reporting to the Studio Leader, you will ensure each session is safe, energetic, and enjoyable, helping members achieve their fitness goals in a supportive environment.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with:
* Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Certificate III in Fitness or Group Exercise Leader (GEL) Certification
* Relevant Certification for Group Fitness (Yoga, Pilates, Less Mils etc)
* Strong knowledge and passion for the fitness industry
* Understanding of fitness training methods, exercise principles, and relevant technologies
* Skilled in applying first aid procedure
* Ability to read, understand, follow, and promote safety procedures
* Strong verbal communication and listening skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse members
* Compassionate, organised, and capable of guiding members in a safe and friendly environment
* Excellent multitasking abilities to manage member interactions and class delivery effectively
* Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and well-equipped facility
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead and take ownership of group fitness class performance, ensuring high attendance and positive member feedback
* Deliver engaging, safe, and effective classes, including setup and pack down of equipment
* Provide exceptional member service by addressing questions, offering support, and promoting club services
* Role model Viva Leisure values, maintaining high standards of professionalism and conduct
* Monitor and correct participant technique, ensuring safe and effective movement patterns
* Collaborate with the broader team to foster a positive and inclusive club environment
* Maintain up-to-date certifications and adhere to all relevant policies, including Work Health & Safety
* Report equipment faults and incidents promptly, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment
* Promote group fitness participation and uphold class rules and standards
MEMBER SERVICES (casual)
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional, personalised service and create a positive experience for our members. You'll play a key role in supporting studio growth by maintaining strong member relationships and helping to attract new ones.
Your day-to day responsibilities will include assisting members with general enquiries, conducting studio tours for potential new members, driving membership sales, and ensuring the studio environment is clean, welcoming, and professionally presented at all times.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with:
* Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
* Knowledge of and a passion for the Fitness Industry
* Experience in sales and customer service, ideally within the fitness or retail sectors
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Providing a professional and welcoming experience for all members, visitors, and new joiners, including conducting studio tours and inductions
* Support membership growth by responding to enquiries, following up on leads, and following Viva's sales process to maximise conversions
* Engage with members, assist with general queries, and promote additional services
* Handle administrative duties including phone calls, members feedback, system updates, and shift handovers, escalating issues when necessary
* Maintain a clean, safe, and well-presented studio environment by performing regular cleaning, equipment checks, restocking supplies, reporting hazards and faults, and supporting operational and administrative tasks
