Your New Role You will be responsible for overseeing on-site construction activities to ensure they are built according to plans, specifications, and safety standards. Your duties may include interpreting technical drawings, coordinating daily work, managing subcontractors and materials, ensuring quality control through inspections, and solving on-site issues to keep the project on schedule and budget. Key responsibilities: Interpreting plans and drawings: Translating technical drawings, specifications, and designs into instructions for the construction crew. Coordinating and planning: Planning and Coordination all on-site activities, including short-term lookaheads, and manage the flow of work, materials, and equipment. Managing site personnel: Providing technical advice and guidance to supervisors, subcontractors, and other site staff. Quality control: Conducting inspections of key structural elements like steel reinforcement and formwork to ensure work complies with designs and standards. Health and safety: Ensuring safety compliance on-site and help create a safe working environment through inspections and safety documentation. Problem-solving: Identifying and addressing on-site issues, such as unforeseen ground conditions or modified details, and develop solutions to keep the project moving. Documentation and reporting: Preparing site documentation, monitoring project costs, and keeping detailed records of progress. Liaison and communication: Point of Contact and liaising with suppliers, clients, designers, and other stakeholders to resolve conflicts and answer queries. Job Requirements: You will need to be a Project/Site Engineer with 5 years' of experience and hold a degree in Structural Engineering. This role requires the right person to have a strong technical understanding and knowledge of construction.
