As the Accounts & Administration Manager, you'll be responsible for managing financial processes, streamlining administrative systems, onboarding new staff, ensuring compliance across customer and industry portals, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the business. This diverse and hands-on position goes beyond traditional bookkeeping. You'll work closely with the management team and be a key point of contact for suppliers, clients, and staff, helping to ensure our projects and people are supported from the office through to the job site.

Key Responsibilities:

Finance & Accounting

* Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable and Receivable
* Prepare and lodge BAS, PAYG Withholding, and other regulatory submissions
* Payroll processing, including Superannuation, Long Service Leave, and timesheet approvals
* Monthly invoicing, account reconciliations, and financial data entry
* Liaise with external suppliers/customers and prepare documentation as needed

Administration & Operations

* Create and manage purchase orders and supplier documentation
* Oversee employee onboarding, including contracts, policies, and induction coordination
* Organise accommodation and travel logistics for employees working away
* Keep all workplace policies and procedures up to date
* Ensure full compliance with customer portal requirements (e.g., insurance certificates, SWMS, licences, inductions)
* Maintain up-to-date registers for insurances, tickets, licences, and safety documentation


What We're Looking For (Requirements):

* Proven experience in accounts, bookkeeping, and administration
* Knowledge of Australian payroll, superannuation, BAS, PAYG, and general compliance
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* High attention to detail and a hands-on, solution-oriented approach
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
* Confident using Xero, QuickBooks Time, Microsoft Office Suite, and Mac operating systems
* Experience in the construction or trades industry is highly advantageous
* Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team
