This casual role will see you working FIFO out of Perth as part of the Barrow Island Turnaround team on Chevron's 2025 turnaround (TAR 112) and as opportunities arise to join future shutdowns, campaign maintenance and frontline teams. What you’ll need: Essential Trade Certificate in Metals, Manufacturing and or Fabrication (Boilermaking/ Welding) Ability to complete weld testing as part of the pre-employment checks Undertake first response to fire incidents valid within 3 years end of August 2025 Gas test atmospheres valid within 3 years end of August 2025 Construction White Card Car Driver's Licence (C-Class) Desirable Undertake first response to fire incidents valid within 3 years end of August 2025 Enter and work in confined spaces valid withing 3 years Working Safely at Heights – Valid within 3 years Provide First Aid What you will bring: Experience in GTAW - Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) & Stick (Metal Arc Welding) Knowledge and practical experience of the Carbon Arc Welding Code Proven structural welding, fabrication capabilities with carbon, aluminum & Stainless steel Expertise in Oil & Gas, refineries and maintenance environments Safety – first mindset following safety protocols and hazard procedures Diversity: Ventia is enriched by the diverse experiences, talents and cultures that our people bring to the organisation, while celebrating and respecting the communities we operate in.
