Job Description
Doral is currently seeking applicants for the following Keysbrook based role, which will also include responsibilities to support all Doral Sites:
The Work Health Safety and Training Advisor will report directly to the WHS Coordinator and be responsible for the successful coordination of the following duties and roles:
* Actively participate and promote the Doral Safety and Health program through cooperation and consultation with its employees and contractors,
* Development and delivery of competency based training and assessment to ensure legislative compliance with legal, regulatory and company requirements,
* Maintenance and further development of training matrix, ensuring competent work teams through coaching and assessment,
* Provide leadership in the areas of hazard identification, risk management, communication, incident investigation and continuous improvement,
* Willingness to be "hands on" and provide a regular and positive safety presence across all areas, consulting with work groups to enhance Doral's safety culture and performance,
* Consultative development and review of Doral policies and procedures as required,
* Coordination and compilation of Statutory Health and Hygiene Management plans, monitoring and annual reports,
* Coordinate and undertake Occupational and Environmental radiation monitoring and reporting as required
* Facilitation and coordination of H&S Reps and new safety initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in the areas of safety and health.
* Management of Myosh Hazard and Incident Reporting data
* Active participation in LGIRS regulator inspections, management of outcomes and the maintenance of the SRS online database to maintain compliance.
Requirements
The successful applicant will have:
* Qualifications in WH&S
* Demonstrated understanding & application of relevant legislation
* Proven experience in leading Incident Investigations, preferably ICAM Methodology and Formal Risk Assessments
* Training and Assessment certification
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas clearly and professionally across diverse audiences.
* Excellent problem solving skills, good computer literacy, demonstrated leadership skills,
* Strong commitment to continuous improvement in all areas of safety and health.
