We are seeking a dedicated Learning Professional to lead the development and delivery of high-quality training programs for our volunteer workforce. As a key member of our team, this role champions teamwork, accountability, and inclusion while embracing a culture that values diverse contributions.
This role will support front-line volunteers in delivering services and training to our vital volunteer workforce. You will plan, develop, and assist in the delivery of quality training materials using various mediums; manage assessment validation processes; identify current and future training needs to ensure operational capability; and have a clear understanding of compliance with VET and legislative obligations.
As a valued member of our headquarters team, you will play a key role in ensuring training opportunities recognize the values of our volunteer members. You will also represent us at forums, meetings, and working groups as required, building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
This position will be utilized as required in incident management activities under the Australian Inter-agency Incident Management System (AIIMS) during operations in support of core activities and all services across our organization.

* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent experience is highly desirable.
* An understanding of Emergency Management and a volunteer workforce is desirable.
* Prior to commencing, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
* Background and Security clearance checks will be conducted.
This position requires work after hours and at weekends, including attending meetings, supporting training, Brigade visits, and participation as Duty Officer on a rotating roster.
