About the Role:
As the Accountant, you will support the business needs of Guidera O'Connor in a hands-on accounting role within the Finance and Administration team. The role involves assisting with financial reporting, month end processing, BAS preparation, audits, and other accounting functions under the supervision of the Finance Manager.
In this newly created role, you will:
* Run month end procedure including preparation of financial reports, managing accruals, preparing general ledger reconciliations, general ledger journals and bank reconciliations
* Assist the Finance Manager in analysing financial and cost reports, identify variances or trends and provide recommendations as appropriate
* Support the Finance Manager with other ad hoc duties
* Support Accounts Payable and Receivable as and when required
You will bring:
* A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
* Proficiency in MS Excel and an understanding of accounting systems and standards
* An understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Strong analytical and problem solving solving skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* An ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast paced paced environment
