Electrical Installation Technician

As an Electrical Installation Technician, you will play a key role in the assembly of train components. Your duties will include:
* Reading and applying technical documentation supplied
* Installing and assembling railway vehicle components using standard work procedures and hand & power tools
* Performing basic testing and troubleshooting and maintenance of electrical systems and components installed in the railway car
* Using and manipulating lifting and transporting devices such as overhead cranes to install, replace and align subassemblies and components
* Performing self-inspection of railway car components to identify defects and ensure quality
* Removing and replacing defective parts and components
* Cross referencing technical documents and highlighting any discrepancies to the supervisor
* Working closely with support functions to identify and propose suggestions for continuous improvement
Qualifications and Experience:
* Certificate III in Electrotechnology - Electrician or A Grade Electrical License
* Experience within the manufacturing environment would be advantageous
* Ability to interpret technical diagrams & drawings
* High risk tickets or licences (EWP, working at heights etc) would be advantageous but not mandatory
