About the roleReporting to the Manager – Merchandise and Distribution Centre, the Merchandise Sourcing Coordinator is responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining sustainable and financially viable channels for sourcing high-quality preloved donations into our network of Red Cross Shops and Distribution Centres.
This role requires a proactive and commercially minded individual with strong networking and negotiation skills.
This role will build and nurture relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders on a national scale —including councils, community groups, and organisations involved in the resale or reuse of secondhand goods.
A key focus of the role is to engage local communities and partners to encourage ongoing donations, ensuring a consistent flow of quality preloved products that support our fundraising efforts and social impact.
What you will bring Proven experience in sourcing, supply chain & logistics.
Extensive understanding and experience of specialty retail operations and compliance issues.
Excellent communication skills across internal and external partners.
Demonstrated financial and numerical skills.
Ability to think creatively and exercise initiative, discretion and judgment to solve problems.
