Location
Manor Lakes P-12 College, located on Minindee Rd, Wyndham Vale. The college opened in 2009 and has an enrolment of approximately 3000 students.
Selection Criteria
* SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the relevant curriculum, including ability to incorporate literacy and numeracy skills; demonstrated experience in responding to student learning needs.
* SC2: Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing high impact teaching strategies; guided by how students learn; evaluating the impact of learning and teaching programs on student growth.
* SC3: Demonstrated experience in monitoring and assessing student learning; using data to inform teaching practice and providing feedback on student learning growth and achievement to students and parents.
* SC4: Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills; established and maintained collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues and the broader school community to support student learning, agency, wellbeing and engagement.
* SC5: Demonstrated behaviours and attitudes consistent with Department values; reflected upon practice and engaged in professional learning to continually improve teaching quality.
Role
The classroom teacher classification has two salary ranges – Range1 and Range2. The primary focus of a classroom teacher is the planning, preparation and teaching of programs to achieve specific student outcomes, and engaging in critical reflection and inquiry to improve knowledge and skills.
All classroom teachers may be required to undertake additional duties beyond their rostered teaching duties, provided the responsibility is appropriate to the salary range, qualifications, training and experience.
Range2 teachers are expected to help improve student performance under the school strategic plan, contribute to policy development, mentor other teachers, supervise student teachers, and use student data to inform teaching approaches.
Range1 teachers focus on further developing classroom practice with structured support from more experienced teachers, manage classroom and subject content, and may participate in policy development and co‐curricula activities.
Responsibilities
* Direct teaching of student groups and individual students.
* Contributing to the development, implementation and evaluation of a curriculum area or other curriculum program.
* Undertaking other classroom‐teaching‐related and organisational duties as determined by the School Principal.
* Participating in activities such as parent/teacher meetings, staff meetings, camps and excursions.
* Undertaking non‐teaching supervisory duties.
Who May Apply
Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum areas specified for the position.

Qualification Requirements
* Provisional or full registration approved by the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
* If completed an Australian postgraduate level initial teaching program or course of study on or after 1January2024, must have completed an accredited postgraduate level initial teacher education program.
* If graduated from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education (ITE) program after 1July2016, must have passed the literacy and numeracy test for initial teacher education (LANTITE).
