As a Senior Manager in Internal Audit, you'll play a vital role in leading transformational audit and risk management strategies that help asset-intensive organisations strengthen their governance, anticipate emerging threats, and unlock operational excellence across every layer of their business from capital expenditure and contract management controls to asset lifecycle management, health and safety and regulatory compliance.
You'll be working with clients across energy, mining, infrastructure, utilities and manufacturing, and large enterprise sectors, where your deep expertise in asset-heavy environments and strategic leadership will shape how they manage complexity, safeguard critical assets, and build resilience for the future. Our Perth team is known for a market leading internal audit and risk team, with a positive cultural vibe and learning mindset, built around our core behaviours of encouraging curiosity, collaboration and constructive challenge.
Responsibilities
* Shape internal audit strategies and risk management that align with organisational objectives; lead complex cross-functional engagements; guide your team in identifying and managing emerging risks across the business.
* Influence how clients approach governance, compliance, and control frameworks at the highest levels.
* Create and execute comprehensive audit test plans.
* Draft insightful reports detailing findings and observations.
* Lead senior auditors and specialists through sophisticated engagements; foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement; ensure your team delivers insights that help clients anticipate challenges and unlock operational resilience in asset-intensive environments.
What we're looking for (Qualifications)
* Experience leading internal audit and/or risk functions or complex audit and risk engagements within energy, mining, infrastructure, utilities or manufacturing sectors.
* Ability to lead teams and develop and implement effective internal audit and risk management strategies for clients.
* Strong relationship-building skills with clients; coaching and mentoring colleagues; fostering internal collaboration.
* Track record of developing methodologies that ensure compliance and enhance business performance.
* Sophisticated knowledge of governance, compliance, and risk management in asset-heavy organisations; ability to influence senior leadership and shape how clients address emerging threats and operational excellence.
* Credibility in managing capital-intensive control frameworks, capital expenditure and contract audits, and asset lifecycle management programs.
