The Hub will work closely with other sections of FMG and key internal and external stakeholders to deliver policy-relevant research and analytical outputs in a timely manner.About the roleAs a Lead Analyst, your responsibilities combine technical research work, collaboration, informal mentoring, and project coordination.
You will progress research projects that advance FMG's strategic priorities and may lead the planning and execution of those projects.
The role also involves mentoring less experienced staff and contributing to the RBA's research culture.About youWe're looking for candidates who bring a broad set of research, collaboration, and leadership skills to support the Hub's success:Strong research skills with a policy-focused approach to financial markets.Technical expertise in statistics or modelling relevant to central-bank research, including postgraduate qualifications in economics or finance (or equivalent experience) and coding experience.Ability to communicate technical work to both technical and non-technical audiences.Collaboration skills, including managing research projects, guiding and mentoring less experienced staff, and harnessing diverse perspectives.Commitment to an open and dynamic team culture that aligns with the RBA's values of public interest, integrity, excellence, intelligent inquiry, and respect.A desire for self-driven learning and adaptability outside your core expertise.Subject-matter expertise in financial markets, especially as it relates to central-bank roles.Experience in a policy-making institution or think-tank.Next StepsTo apply, submit your resume and answer the following short-answer questions (max. 250 words each).
