Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Discipline Lead – Information Technology to join our team in Bentley, Australia. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic leadership and academic oversight for the Diploma of Information Technology (DIT), ensuring its effective delivery and supporting the program's continued growth.

* Oversee daily operations of the Diploma program, ensuring smooth delivery and student engagement.
* Lead and coordinate academic staff, including recruitment, induction, and mentoring.
* Provide leadership in course and unit development, keeping content aligned with Curtin College and University standards.
* Drive continuous improvement using student feedback, data, and academic reviews.
* Implement innovative teaching practices and support interdisciplinary collaborations.
* Monitor student progress, provide academic support, and apply timely interventions for at-risk students.
* Ensure quality and compliance in assessment, moderation, and reporting processes.
* Liaise with partner institutions to maintain curriculum and assessment alignment.
* Handle program administration, including timetabling, staffing, and compliance reporting.
* Take on additional responsibilities as delegated, supporting strategic academic goals.


Qualifications

* Tertiary qualifications AQF level 9 in a relevant discipline area
* Five years teaching experience within a higher educational environment
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience of innovative approaches to learning and teaching
* Experience working in a multicultural environment
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and participate collaboratively
* Well-developed oral and written communication skills
* Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Learning Management Systems
