Role description
With a growing pipeline of diverse project work we have a new opportunity Ecologists to join our team in Sydney. You will be joining and assisting in the growth of a national ecology team across NSW, VIC and QLD. You'll get your hands onto some interesting and challenging projects, from large BDARs to small conservation and offset projects while mentoring the juniors of the team.
Role accountabilities
* Providing technical ecological advice and report deliverables on a range of complex projects
* Field based data collection, surveys and mapping including threatened species surveys and PCT identification
* Supporting the National Ecology Lead in maintaining a sustainable pipeline of work for a growing team through business development
* Involvement in proposals and building awareness of the Arcadis brand and ecological capabilities of the team
* Proactively managing projects or components of projects, quality assurance and development of client relationships.
Qualifications & Experience
* Tertiary qualifications in ecology or other relevant degree
* Knowledge of, and experience in, flora and/or fauna identification and assessment, in NSW
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Relevant post-graduate experience, including report delivery and project management
* Experience leading, mentoring and developing ecologists and providing technical support.
