A well-established supplier to the Australian mining sector is expanding its footprint across Central West NSW and is seeking an experienced Account Manager to support and grow relationships with underground and surface mining operations throughout the region.
The business supplies heavy-duty earthmoving wheel and rim solutions used on mobile mining equipment, including loaders, haul trucks and underground production machinery. Customers include mine owners, principal contractors and maintenance service providers operating across hard-rock mining environments.
This is a hands-on, field-based role suited to someone who enjoys being on-site, engaging directly with operational teams, and building long-term partnerships across active mine sites. The territory includes Parkes, Orange, Dubbo, Cobar and surrounding mining regions .
About the Role
Reporting to a NSW-based leadership team, the Account Manager will take ownership of a defined Central West NSW mining territory, managing existing accounts while identifying and developing new opportunities within both underground and open-cut mining operations .
The role requires regular site engagement with customers operating heavy mobile fleets and a strong understanding of how equipment performance, maintenance and lifecycle costs impact mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow relationships with underground and surface mining operations, principal contractors and maintenance providers
* Sell earthmoving wheel and rim solutions into heavy mobile equipment fleets, including loaders, haul trucks and underground machinery
* Conduct regular on-site visits to assess equipment condition and identify replacement, upgrade and standardisation opportunities
* Engage key stakeholders including Maintenance Managers, Mobile Plant Supervisors, Engineering Managers, Asset Managers and Procurement teams
* Develop new business opportunities within existing accounts and across new mining operations in the territory
* Prepare quotations, manage follow-ups and maintain accurate CRM and sales reporting
* Work closely with internal operations, service and logistics teams to ensure seamless delivery and customer satisfaction
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Proven B2B sales or account management experience selling into miningsectors
* Exposure to heavy equipment, mobile plant, OTR tyre, wheels, components or industrial mining products (not essential)
* Prior experience calling on open cut or underground mining operations in Regional New South Wales (essential)
* Strong relationship-building skills with operational and procurement stakeholders
* A self-motivated and autonomous approach to managing a regional territory
* Excellent communication, negotiation and technical presentation skills
* Willingness to travel regularly across regional and remote NSW mine sites
* Currently living in, or actively considering relocating to, Central West NSW, with ideal locations including Parkes, Orange, Dubbo or Cobar (or nearby regional centres)
