About Our Team

Your Opportunity
As the Tutoring Specialist, you'll contribute to quality educational services by supporting student learning development.
The specialist reports to the Principal or delegate as necessary. Reporting relationships may change regularly to meet specific needs within the child's school.
Your Role
- Communicate effectively with high interpersonal skills as an effective team member.
- Maintain accurate records for student development review.
- Display respect and empathy for students with special needs.
- Maintain confidentiality, tact, reliability, and sensitivity with students and families.
- Assist students with set activities from school, e.g., homework, assessment, general skills.
- Support senior students with career development and redirection.
- Monitor student progression, performing checks as needed.
- Communicate with parents about further learning options and advice beneficial to students.
- Work with students having learning or physical disabilities.
- Listen to students read, read aloud, and tell stories.
- Help students build self-confidence and motivation.
- Complete end-of-term reports.
- Support students with mental health and general attributes.
- Design teaching resources tailored to individual students' levels.
- Assist students in finding reference materials.
- Work under admin and parent direction for In-Home Tutoring.
- Perform Literacy and Numeracy duties: working with small groups, individual students, and computer use.
