Alepat Taylor is a highly respected bottling and canning business and trusted industry partner in the beverage industry and privately owned, with a long and successful history. We have operations across beverages manufacturing and wholesale distribution across Wine, Spirits RTD's, liqueurs, and Beer, plus non-alcoholic products.
We are seeking an experienced self-motivated leader with a hands-on approach and a passion for driving team performance in a fast-paced production environment. An individual who will be committed to our afternoon shift operations, delivering high-quality products efficiently and safely.
As the Production Team Leader you'll be responsible for overseeing production activities, managing a team of operators ensuring safety, quality, and production targets are met. You'll play a key role in maintaining a positive work environment and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, support, and coordinate production staff during the afternoon shift to meet daily targets.
Act as the link between management and frontline staff
Ensure production targets and schedules are met in a timely manner
Complete shift reports, performance logs, and administration associated with the role
Conduct daily pre-shift team meetings, shift handovers and briefings
Monitor workflow and adjust resources as needed to meet output goals
Troubleshoot production issues and escalate when necessary
Ensure all products meet required quality specifications and Identify defects and implement corrective actions.
Provide training, mentoring, and support to team members and staff performance reviews
Health and safety compliance by monitoring safety, quality, and operational standards
What is important to us:
Previous experience as a Production Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing environment
Strong leadership and communication skills
Proven ability to manage people, resolve conflicts, and drive performance
A commitment to workplace safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Good understanding of production processes and equipment
Flexibility to work afternoon shifts, occasional weekends and transfer to day shift if required
Initial Training will be conducted and commence for four weeks in day shift hours
Forklift licence preferred
