An exciting and challenging opportunity exists for a full-time, experienced, multi-skilled, Project Architect to join our talented team and contribute to our varied portfolio.
Do you possess the following?
* A relevant degree in Architecture
* A minimum of three years' experience as a Project Architect, in the local market (Sydney / Australia)
* Experience with the design and construction of single dwellings and small scale multi residential / mixed use developments
* A proven track record of building contract administration and site inspection in Australia
* A high degree of experience with AutoCAD and Photoshop
* A strong knowledge of the project development and construction processes
* A creative approach to and proven abilities in design development
* The capability to produce accurate and comprehensive contract documentation
* Excellent contract management skills, including a proactive approach to problem solving and meticulous attention to detail
* The ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects
* A good working knowledge of the NCC, other relevant Australian standards and Council codes
* Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently with all key stakeholders
* Excellent organisational and time management skills

About the Position
Your role within the practice will take in all aspects of the architectural process from project inception through to post-construction review, with tasks including but not limited to:
* Coordinating multiple concurrent projects throughout their lifecycles
* Meeting with Clients and other key stakeholders to establish a brief and understand the requirements and desired outcomes of the project
* In collaboration with the Principal and other team members, preparing project drawings and documentation to communicate the project at each stage of the project process
* Managing, coordinating, and supervising the required Consultants and compiling and collating project drawings and documentation from multiple sources
* Researching, confirming, and interpreting regulations, codes of practice, building codes, by-laws, and space and site requirements, and oversee the preparation and lodgment of applications to local councils and certifying authorities
* Managing the construction tender process, including establishing Builder EOIs, addressing RFIs from Builders during the tender period, compiling submitted tenders, preparing cost plans, managing cost cuts, and coordinating the contract signature process
* Managing, coordinating, and attending site meetings, addressing on-site issues, managing project budgets and responding to client and contractor queries.
Salary negotiable, commensurate with experience. Lucrative incentives and the prospect of rapid progression exist for the right candidate.
