As a member of the Office of the Deputy Secretary, the Client Liaison Officer:• provides quality support services to the Deputy Secretary, Keeping Children Safe Executive and Manager – Office of the Secretary to deal with contemporary and contentious issues.• provides high quality, friendly and responsive liaison services to the range of statutory offices and other internal and external stakeholders that engage with the Division.• responds to complaints and issues that are raised with the Office of the Secretary by clients and/or their families or significant others.

About the Role

As a member of the Office of the Deputy Secretary, the Client Liaison Officer:

* provides quality support services to the Deputy Secretary, Keeping Children Safe Executive and Manager – Office of the Secretary to deal with contemporary and contentious issues.
* provides high quality, friendly and responsive liaison services to the range of statutory offices and other internal and external stakeholders that engage with the Division.
* responds to complaints and issues that are raised with the Office of the Secretary by clients and/or their families or significant others.

The successful applicant will enjoy working independently, be organised, self-motivated and have exceptional communication skills.

Period of Appointment

Applicants should be aware that for twelve (12) months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill any subsequentfull-time or part-time vacancies in accordance with Employment Direction 1.

Hours per fortnight

73.5 hours per fortnight

* Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (Registration Status – Employment)
* The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer. The following checks are to be conducted:

1 Conviction checks in the following areas:

a) crimes of violence
b) sex related offences
c) serious drug offences
d) crimes involving dishonesty
e) serious traffic offences

2 Identification check
3 Disciplinary actions in previous employment check
