Care and Wellness Assistants provide personal, clinical, and lifestyle support to enhance wellbeing, dignity, and independence of residents.
* Provide personal care and assistance with showering, dressing, and mobility support in a dignified manner.
* Follow individualised care plans and communicate changes in consumer needs or behaviour.
* Support consumers with mental health, drug and alcohol, or homelessness-related challenges using a compassionate approach.
* Administer and document medication as prescribed and in accordance with policies and procedures.
* Certificate IV in Individual Support (Aged Care) or equivalent qualification is essential.
* Demonstrated experience delivering personal care within an aged care or community setting is required.
* Understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and person-centred care principles is also necessary.
