We are seeking a CSSD Sterilisation Assistant to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for reprocessing of reusable medical devices, including decontamination, processing, assembly, and inspection of reusable medical devices and medical equipment for varying clinical departments. This role is a critical part of the sterilising process and you will work within your team to meet the needs of the perioperative team. You will report to the Peri Op Manager and work within an efficient and supportive professional team to assist the perioperative team to deliver the best care for our patients.

Responsibilities
* Work within a team to process instruments, trays, and equipment in a timely manner.
* Operate within various allocated areas in the department.
* Ensure consistency and continuous workflow between the Operating Theatre areas and CSSD while practing exceptional customer service and maintaining high operational standards.
* Assist in the day-to-day coordination of CSSD activities.
* Ensure compliance with minimum requirements for equipment care, handling and re-processing.
* Adhere to sterilisation standards and relevant legislation affecting practice.
* Collaborate with Theatre & CSSD staff to ensure timely equipment processing.
Skills and Experience
* CSSD experience not required but preferred.
* Positive outlook to collaborate effectively with the team and work independently as required.
* Customer service oriented in internal and external settings.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
* Exceptional organisational skills.
* Strong knowledge of the principles behind AS 5369:2023.

Requirements
* Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
* Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, depending on the role.
