The opportunity
Due to a growing marketing and communications program for our Holiday Parks, we're seeking an experienced Marketing and Communications Specialist, to lead the delivery of services from content creation and storytelling to social media management, and marketing and campaign delivery.
Port Stephens Council own and operate 4 Beachside Holiday Parks (Fingal Bay, Shoal Bay, Halifax, and Thou Walla Sunset Retreat), and the award-winning Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary.
As Marketing and Communications Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the implementation of our marketing plan activity, driving revenue for the Koala Sanctuary and our Holiday Parks. This will include the implementation of social media platform plans, content creation and video production, campaign management, maintaining marketing asset libraries..
Basing yourself at the Koala Sanctuary in One Mile, you'll find guidance and support from the Business Development and Marketing Manager.
This is a 12 month contract opportunity – working flexibly between 21 hours to 35 hours per week
Hourly Rate Range: $51.33 to $60.39 / hour + 12% superannuation + motor vehicle allowance + retention allowance

A degree in communications, marketing, media or a related field
Extensive understanding of media management and contemporary media landscapes
Extensive knowledge of digital marketing including social media, its applications, and potential future directions
Demonstrated competence using Adobe Creative Suite
