About the role:
As a proactive and creative team member reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for collaborating with the team to establish and support our new Patterson Cheney Trucks in Pakenham.
Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining solid relationships with new and current customers in the transport industry.
- Promote and sell Isuzu Truck models catering to customers' needs.
- Providing expert advice and guidance on truck specifications, features, and perks.
- Conducting truck demonstrations and test drives to showcase their capabilities.
- Preparing and presenting sales proposals and negotiating pricing and contracts.
- Collaborating with the sales team to achieve sales targets and exceed customer expectations.
- Staying informed about industry trends, competitor offerings, and product knowledge.
Requirements
- Previous truck sales experience will be ideal, or sales in the transport industry or capital equipment will be highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with customers.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent negotiation and persuasion skills, but importantly, you will be solution-focused and understand the customer needs.
- Results-oriented with a drive to achieve sales targets.
- Experience with software systems (we use Pentana ERA software), but you can with MS Office.
- Valid heavy vehicle driver's license OR you are eligible and willing to obtain one.
