Join McLarens as a Trainee Loss Adjuster in Melbourne, gaining hands-on experience in complex insurance claims and disaster recovery.
Your Role
Here's what you will be doing:
* Support loss adjusting activities under assigned supervisors
* Receive, triage, and allocate claims per McLarens guidelines
* Attend site meetings to document claim assessments, including minutes, photos, videos, and surveys
* Manage contractors in line with client service level agreements
* Draft reports, letters, and loss management plans to manage stakeholders
* Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure data integrity in business systems (e.g., Vision, MC1)
* Research, analyse, and interpret complex information including legal contracts and policy wordings
* Compile and maintain data spreadsheets and reconcile invoices to monitor claim costs
* Provide excellent customer service via site visits, emails, phone, and remote meetings
* Complete desktop and on-site investigations, including regular interstate travel
* Assist with marketing and account management for key clients
* Undertake projects and ad hoc work as required
* Participate in training sessions, seminars, and activities as directed by supervisors
* Work towards achieving the AICLA qualification during the traineeship
* Complete learning objectives outlined at the start of the program
About You

* No prior experience required; entry-level role
* Working towards or completion of tertiary qualification in Law, Accounting/Commerce, Engineering, or similar may be advantageous

Training & Development
