Community Transport Services Tasmania is seeking up to four Disability Support Workers to join their Home Services – NDIS team in Devonport. In this rewarding role, you'll provide direct support to participants aimed at maximising independence, community inclusion and personal choice.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will deliver services such as domestic assistance, social support, transport, meal preparation and group participation, all in line with individual care plans. You will play a vital role in helping people with disability live well and connect with their community.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality support to individuals with disabilities
* Develop and implement individual care plans
* Assist with daily living tasks, including domestic assistance and meal preparation
* Transport individuals to appointments and activities
* Participate in group activities and outings
Required Skills and Qualifications
Experience supporting people with a disability
Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage participant expectations
Ability to adjust approach in line with changing priorities
Strong time management and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
Reliable, punctual and professional in all duties
Ability to accurately document and manage participant information
Proficiency in IT systems, including Microsoft Office and web-based databases
Certificate III in Community Services
