Job Title

About the Role
The Principal Policy Adviser will work closely with our Manager, Reform Implementation, to lead work related to the harm reduction portfolio. You will develop effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, as well as program and policy areas within the department.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A high performing individual with strong leadership, analytical, problem solving, policy development and communication skills
* Comfortable working with complex issues, in multidisciplinary teams and with a range of internal and external stakeholders
* Tertiary qualification in fields related to health, mental health, AOD, community services, or public policy
* Strong understanding of the Victorian mental health system, alcohol and other drugs sector
* Knowledge of the department and its operating processes and information systems
