Role Overview & Primary Accountabilities
Lead and manage inventory planning activities across multiple product lines and regions.
Strategy
* Prepare monthly forecast on inventory outlook, for finished goods and raw materials.
* Provide monthly forecast for storage requirements nationally & by state DC.
* Develop inventory policy to align back to desired customer service level.
* Provide governance framework on inventory initiatives & ensure teams are delivering.
* Lead the weekly S&OE meeting, engaging all SC key stakeholders & ensuring key escalations are highlighted and resolved in a timely manner.
* SLOB management:
o Run meetings & action plans for SLOBs.
o Take action to minimise raw material & finished goods write‐offs.
Financial
* Meet inventory and customer service targets – drivers of CCC & CFR.
* Manage mitigation plans balancing supply, inventory, service and cost, ensuring the best action is implemented.
Customer / Consumer
* Lifecycle management for artwork changes, NPD, sourcing change etc.
* Continuously review and improve an inventory policy at location/SKU level to maximise customer service.
People
* Manage one person as part of the team.
* Coach and guide demand & supply planners to deliver agreed targets on service and inventory levels.
Metrics
* Service (OTIF & GFR).
* Inventory (DIO and $MM).
* Inventory norms as per SIM.
Essential Requirements
* Minimum 5 years of experience in planning or operations.
* Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field.
Desirable
* CI/LEAN Green Belt or higher.
* APICS CIPM / CSCP or equivalent.
Experience, Skills & Knowledge (Technical & Behavioral)
* Strong financial/commercial acumen.
* Strong communication & stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities under tight deadlines.
* Strategic thinking with a tactical, action‐oriented bias.
* Decision making that optimises business outcomes.
* Experience with S&OP forums, reviews and procedures.
* Cross‐functional experience required.
* Strong business acumen.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* Strong analytical skills for data‐driven decisions.
* High attention to detail and proactive approach.
* SAP/APO‐SNP knowledge.
