Senior Project Engineer – NPI
FIFO 2:1 | 12- month contract
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer – Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) to support the delivery of a major resources project.
This role will see you leading the end-to-end delivery of NPI scope, from design through to construction and commissioning, working closely with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead delivery of NPI and camp infrastructure packages across project lifecycle
* Develop and manage scopes including:
o Bulk earthworks, buildings, and camp facilities
o Utilities (power, water, sewer, communications)
o Access roads, laydown areas, and supporting infrastructure
* Coordinate interfaces between contractors, suppliers, and internal teams
* Manage procurement activities including tenders, evaluations, and contracts
* Oversee site execution to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, and safety standards
* Monitor progress, risks, and project milestones
* Resolve technical queries, design changes, and non-conformances
* Support design reviews and safety processes (HAZID, HAZOP, constructability)
* Ensure delivery meets safety, quality, environmental, schedule, and cost targets
What You'll need to have
* Degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
* 8+ years' experience in mining, infrastructure, or heavy industry projects
* Strong experience delivering Non-Process Infrastructure (NPI) scope
* Background in:
o Civils and utilities
o Camp / village infrastructure
o Water systems and site services
* Proven ability managing:
o Contractors and suppliers
o Project interfaces across multiple disciplines
o Full project lifecycle (design to execution)
