About the role:
The Senior Operations Manager plays a critical leadership role to support the safe, secure, and effective delivery of services within their Centre.
Reporting to the Centre Manager, this role oversees daily operations, compliance, risk management, and team leadership. The Senior Operations Manager supports their team to deliver services to the highest standards, enable team wellbeing, and fosters a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
Key responsibilities:
* Manage daily operations across all service areas including health, meals, welfare, and programs.
* Monitor compliance with legal, contractual, and policy requirements, and implement corrective actions.
* Lead and support integrated teams, manage rosters, and promote staff development and wellbeing.
* Uphold detainee welfare standards, ensuring access to healthcare, legal support, and recreational activities.
* Liaise with ABF representatives and external service providers and represent the Centre in inspections and meetings.
Key requirements:
* Certificate IV in Security Operations or Technical Security or equivalent
* 5 years' experience in Security, Immigration or Corrections
* Ability to multi-task
* Proficient understanding of Microsoft suite
* Exceptional people skills and ability to negotiate
* High level written and verbal skills
* Current First Aid/ CPR Certificate
* Ability to pass pre-medical checks
