Job Details
Software Engineers have experience overseeing software development projects, writing optimised code, and providing technical leadership to a team of software engineers. They are responsible for the quality and functionality of the software produced by their team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Custom portal development with UI Builder or React framework ensuring secure integration with ServiceNow APIs and government data models.
* Perform advanced customisations including Business Rules, UI Pages, UI Macros, UI Scripts, Script Includes, Client Scripts, workflows, custom tables and reports.
* Integration and ServiceNow scripting (Glide, JavaScript, Ajax, XML, JSON, HTML and CSS).
* Advanced workflow development and customisation.
* Advanced Playbook development.
* Advanced CSM development and customisation.
* Escalation of issues and risks within team structure.
* Respond to reported problems, performing fault diagnosis, analysis and rectification tasks.
* Provide or assist in the analysis of enhancements as requested by business areas.
* Support, design, configure, test and implement ServiceNow functions and methods.
* Assist in the development and documentation of technical design standards and work within those standards.
* Develop or assist in the development of test plans and user documentation.
* Record and maintain files/information in accordance with AFP requirements.
* Work in an Agile team environment and with a variety of stakeholders.

The role requires contemporary knowledge and a high level of experience in ServiceNow development, including components such as CMS, and UI Builder.
