* Previous experience as a Chef.
* Trade qualified - highly preferrable.
* Team player with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner
* Modern, contemporary, and innovative culinary skills
* Be motivated by a passion for quality and great service delivery
* Solid knowledge of food and catering trends
* Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people (suppliers, customers, employees, and management)

ABOUT THE JOB
The Maylands Hotel has an exciting opportunity for a Chef
* Deliver our client's high expectations of a premium experience
* Maintain an overall knowledge of and passion for food and the latest trends
* Observation of and implementation of allergy awareness controls
* Flexible and reliable to work over a 7-day roster
* Ensure compliance with stock control/ wastage control
* To perform general and specialised cooking, butchering, baking, or pastry cooking duties
* Ensure all kitchen equipment is functional and in working order by local Health departments and hotel standards. Report any issues to the Head Chef
* Monitor and ensure compliance with WHS, hotel policy, and procedures
* Assist the Head Chef as directed
