The key accountabilities of the role: Sales Performance and Growth: The Industry BDM is primarily accountable for the acquisition of new Local Government customers and growth across our NSW and QLD customer bases. Taking both a tactical and strategic approach, they will work closely with our marketing and product teams to identify, develop, and drive new logo opportunities across our innovative SaaS offerings. Sales Strategy and Execution: They are responsible for evolving, aligning, and embedding the sales strategy and messaging for our Local Government ERP (Ready Community) and our transformative AI solutions (Planner Assist) across the broader Local Government sector. They will identify broad whitespace opportunities and develop and manage targeted campaigns The key responsibilities of the role: Identify, develop, and close new logo opportunities across NSW and QLD Local Government for ERP or deep domain SaaS solutions. Drive revenue growth in our existing local government customers through new or additional SaaS modules and professional services. Own and execute the Go-to-Market for PlannerAssist – our AI-enabled town-planning solution. Work with the broader sales and marketing team to Identify and pursue new opportunities in government or adjacent markets for our Ready Community ERP. Own and contribute to RFP/RFI responses with high-quality solution documentation. Actively share learnings and best practices with broader Sales and Marketing teams to refine positioning and messaging. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, product management, customer experience and support. Stay at the forefront of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities, leveraging market insights to identify opportunities across the segment. The key requirements for the role: 1. Skills & Knowledge Deep knowledge of Local Government enterprise software, including ERP and Line of Business applications across councils. Strong understanding of Local Government processes, platforms, and drivers. Strong Product and Solution Sales focus * Exceptional communication, facilitation, and storytelling ability. Be comfortable to adapt and multi-task in a fast-paced environment * Ability to articulate the value proposition of our procurement solutions tailored to the specific needs and challenges of government agencies. 2. Experience Proven enterprise software and complex solution sales experience into local government. Previous experience selling ERP or AI tools into government.
